At Shang-Hai Tibetan Mastiffs we have done many years of line breeding on very healthy and hearty dogs but sometimes it is essential to bring in new un-related blood. We like to think that all of our dogs are very similar and hear it all the time that when people see a Shang-Hai dog they can tell where it came from. Our look is not for everyone but we have strived for many years to get to the look we have today.      We decided it was time to import a dog from another country with no similarities in pedigree to our dogs but it was very important that the dog we imported carry similar pheono-type to our dogs. Our search was over when we met Jan Forman who had a lovely bitch Hariga that was planned to be bred to Falco who IMHO is one of the best looking dogs in Europe. Well, sadly that breeding did not take but we were offered a lovely blue male from the mating of Falco Strazce z Tibetu bred to Jin Strazce z Tibetu from Jana Pomejova in the Czech Republic. We took them up on the offer and imported Abhidharma Saga-Dava. Abrams is quite the character and very much the husband to our Evie. They are like a little old married couple and had thier first litter of pups in 2006.       Abe is OFA Good and elbows pre-limmed normal and thyroid normal.He is a very large boy for a 2 year old at nearly 30 inches at the shoulder and a very very lean 130 lbs. Abe has never been shown and I am not sure he ever will. He is the guardian of the gates here at Sab-Phi Farms and for that reason he will probably remain in charge here Click any thumbnail to view larger photo.
